I went over to a friend’s house last night for a few hours and while the others were drinking wine, my amazing buddy asked me if I wanted club soda with lime. I have had seltzer and have been TRYING to love it (Coconut LaCroix is pretty ok!), but just am not there. I was like, hmm, ok….sure! And I’m SOOO glad I tried! Whatever it is about club soda that is different from seltzer is just AWESOME. No bitterness at all. The lime and ice in a pretty wine glass….ah, it was fabulous! I’m SO excited and SO happy!
This will make the soda thing SO much easier……!!!!
*And I HAD to go look it up (thanks Huff Post!)
Seltzer water and club soda are very similar, but there is a notable difference between the two. Unlike seltzer, mineral-like ingredients are added to club soda to enhance the flavor. If you look on the list of ingredients, you’ll likely see potassium bicarbonate and potassium sulfate listed. Regardless, you could still swap one for the other without really being able to pick up on a difference of taste (though according to some, it can be detected).
